About MEDQ Donation

Equipment sitting idle helps no one.

MEDQ Donation exists because usable medical equipment too often ends up in a closet, a garage, or a landfill — while someone nearby goes without it.

Our Mission

Keep equipment in circulation, not storage

When a person no longer needs a wheelchair, hospital bed, or oxygen concentrator, that equipment usually has years of useful life left. At the same time, medical equipment is expensive, and many people who need it — whether temporarily or long-term — can't afford it or don't qualify for coverage.

MEDQ Donation closes that gap. We collect equipment directly from individuals and facilities, inspect and sanitize every item, and redistribute it to anyone who requests it — no income documentation, referral, or diagnosis required.

Where We Stand

501(c)(3) status: pending

MEDQ Donation's nonprofit application is currently in process with the IRS. We're accepting donations and requests today; tax-deductible receipts for equipment donations will be issued retroactively once our determination letter is finalized. We'll update this page the moment that happens.

Our Approach

Open by design

We intentionally keep the request process open. Many donation programs require proof of income or a medical referral before they'll help — we don't. If you say you need it, we take that at face value and do our best to match you with available inventory.

Reach

Community-based

MEDQ Donation operates locally, working directly with donors and recipients rather than through a national network.

Standards

Inspected & sanitized

Every item is checked for function and safety, then cleaned before it's logged into inventory.

Cost

Always free to recipients

Equipment is never sold to the people who request it. MEDQ Donation is funded through donations, not fees.
